What we collect, what stays on your Mac.

Seminarly is a desktop app for macOS that records audio and writes notes from it. The app does the heavy lifting on your computer, not in the cloud. This page explains what information passes through this website (seminarly.ai) and the Seminarly app, and what we do with it.
The waitlist
When you submit your email through the form on this site, we record:
- The email address you provided.
- Which form you used (the hero or the footer of the page).
- The time of submission.
- Approximate country, city, and region, derived from your IP address by Cloudflare. We do not store the IP itself.
- Your browser's User-Agent string.
- The page URL you came from (referrer).
The information goes into a private database we use to send invitations when access opens. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or hand it to third parties for any purpose other than running the waitlist.
You can ask us to delete your entry at any time by emailing hi@seminarly.ai.
The Seminarly app
The desktop app is in development. When it ships, here's how it will handle your data:
- Audio is captured and processed locally on your Mac. The audio file is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
- Transcription runs on-device. The app uses on-device speech recognition (WhisperKit) and speaker-diarization models bundled with the app.
- Notes are generated by the AI provider you connect. When you ask the app to write notes, only the text transcript and the notes you typed are sent to your chosen provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.). The audio is never sent. Your provider's privacy policy applies to that text — you bring your own API key, and we do not see those API requests.
- Storage is local. Recordings, transcripts, and notes are stored on your Mac. The app does not sync them anywhere automatically.
Cookies and analytics
The website does not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies. No advertising tags, no session recording, no fingerprinting.

- Lark stores the waitlist database. Their privacy policy: larksuite.com/legal/privacy-policy
